Making a Pivot in your Digital Marketing

It's August now and it doesn't seem this pandemic is going anywhere. In-person meetings, networking events & classes are being rescheduled or even canceled. For many people who market their business through meeting new people & engaging in relationships, this has caused a big hole in efforts & footwork to gain work.

What shifts have you made in marketing your business?

If you haven't yet, it's time to take a hold of digital marketing. According to 53% of Americans, "the Internet has been essential to Covid-19 Pandemic." Yes, many are using the web for conference calls, entertainment such as streaming & gaming, education and researching the newest stories about the novel coronavirus. However, traffic has increased for local business search according to a new survey. It has found 75% of people want to support small businesses now more than ever.

No better time to increase your efforts.

There is no better time to increase your digital marketing efforts. Make a plan to prioritize or pivot. Here are a few questions to ask yourself prior to making a shift:

  1. What online marketing are you already doing? Do you have a website? Social Media channels? Email list?

  2. Do you have a budget to pay for digital marketing services? Or do you have the time to be a DIY-er?

  3. What do you need to communicate to your customers/clients? Are you still open for business? What about your contact-free service, safety precautions or cleaning efforts?

In a world that became virtual overnight, business owners have to be willing to adapt & adjust. And because of that, marketing efforts have to shift to a digital front!
