After years of working separately on client projects, Jenn & Alex agreed to combine their talent, education & expertise to create Gulf Coast Pixel. Since 2017, Gulf Coast Pixel has had the opportunity & privilege to work and collaborate with titans of industry.

Jenn Slayton is co-founder and lead designer. After 10 years in education, Jenn began a new path in the tech industry. She enrolled in Bloc’s UX/UI Designer track to learn design principles, color theory, user habits and industry best practices. Jenn used what she learned as a teacher, particularly research & creative problem solving, to bring solutions to businesses’ digital experiences, from product development to digital marketing.
Alex Slayton is co-founder and lead developer. He spent over a decade on and off the road as a musician, then transitioned to church staff. After looking for something challenging to allow his computer science skills to flourish, he enrolled in the Full Stack Developer Program through the University of Texas. During his studies, he learned to build applications and websites with a solid foundation and lean code. Alex has been able to use his brilliant musician brain power (math, language & creativity) to produce sound, polished digital experiences for clients throughout the county.
